Hung artwork is a great way to really make one's room look personal and interesting. For my office I have split my artwork into two segments. Art that is in portraits is bought artwork from artist in conventions, while non-portrait artwork hung on a string is my own personal artwork I drew or painted. I keep those unframed as I am often adding or removing my own pieces depending on my mood and any new pieces I draw.

Having at least SOME greenery helps liven up a room. It adds a little nature to the confines of one's room and can even improve air quality. I am proud to say I have not killed my two potted plants after 3 years, however each month is a close call as I forget they require water….
For furniture, I mostly have a modified IKEA detolf display where I have drilled a hole at the bottom and stuck RGB lights to help light up the scales I have in display within. Each figure scale is more expensive than I would like to admit, so having them in this display case prevents them from getting damaged. I also have a simple Target shelf to hold my manga and light novels I either collect or read, along with my Fumos and prize figures
